The process of digitization in terms of text is the encoding of 1’s and 0’s that can be translated into matching letters or numbers. In terms of sound, it is again encoded then goes through a receiver that decodes it and plays the sound. Before digitization, the sound would be fully recorded and played out, but there was noticeable background noise. However, even with the static background noise, I think there is a sort of charm to old songs hearing the background static. It feels authentic and more like an art form because of its authenticity, rather than todays music where it is all perfectly recorded and tuned.

This is especially noticeable when you listen to records on a record player. You can hear it start when the producer started recording the music and noise from the analog in the background. I honestly enjoy listening to vinyl more than music on the radio or on my phone. There is a growing movement going back to vinyl, with modern artists releasing vinyl albums for their fans.
